outdoor:
You can connect the power bank SP5011 to your device without Solar panel or AC adapter to charge or backup your device power.

1. Please disconnect the Solar input DC jack. Select the adapter tip that fits securely into the DC input jack of your portable device. And connect the adapter tip with the power output cord (but not the device), These batteries only support a center positive of DC input jack of device only, which with the polarity symbol as
. Please check polarity of your portable device to avoid possible damage.
2. Plug the large end of the power output cord into the DC OUT jack of power bank SP5011. The 5V LED will turn on (without the DC output cord and adapter tip connected to power bank SP5011 the LED light will not turn on). If you had selected a voltage previously, the voltage output will auto reset to the initial voltage (5V) when you exchange adapter tips or disconnect power output cord from the DC OUT jack of power bank SP5011. It can prevent previous unsuitable voltage setting to damage your device. You should set voltage again.
3. Please check the voltage specification of your portable device before setting power bank SP5011 output voltage. This can be found on the AC power adapter output of your device or internal battery label or device specification label, which typically is found on the bottom of the unit.
4. Switch the switch
to the OFF (
) position, according to the voltage specification of your portable device to set the right voltage output of power bank SP5011 by pressing the voltage selector button. The voltage indicator LED will jump one step when you press the voltage selector button one time.
5. After you set the right voltage for your device, please switch the
to the ON (
) position. This will prevent you from accidentally selecting a different voltage while your device is connected.
6. Connect the adapter tip into the power jack of the portable device.
7. If you need to change the power bank SP5011 output voltage, disconnect your device first then remove the DC power output cord from power bank SP5011. Then please repeat step 2~6.
Note:
1, Do not make the connection of the power bank and your device if your device require more than 3.5A input current.
2, Please unplug DC output cord, USB cord and switch the switch the
to the OFF (
) position when you are not using the power bank SP5011. For more optional DC Tips, please check it out at www.solarmio.com .
You can optimize the use of power bank SP5011 with your notebook computer or portable DVD player by setting the voltage on power bank SP5011 to less than the required voltage shown on the power adapter of laptops to avoid charge laptopˇ¦s internal battery.
To extend the working time for your laptop, therefore it is recommended that you set the power bank SP5011 output voltage to 14V first, and then test to see if it will power your laptops. If not, then increase the power bank SP5011 output voltage to 16V, and retest it. Repeat this process until you reach the power bank SP5011 output voltage that will only offer the power to your laptops but not charge laptopˇ¦s internal battery.
NOTE: If your portable device displays a low voltage/low capacity or double-beep warning while power bank SP5011 is connected, Please adjust the voltage setting to one level higher.
Please refer to the table when you setting the voltage

Optimize the perfect use of SP50XX with your Laptops to save power. View the power source by three symbols on the screen of your laptops when working at the Microsoft window system:
l Battery symbol: stand for the power from internal battery.
l AC Plug symbol: stand for the power from external AC power.
l AC Plug and flash symbol: indicates the external AC power running power to the laptop, and also charging its internal battery.
We recommend display AC Plug symbol on the screen of your laptop indicating that power bank SP5011 only offer the power to your laptop, without charging its internal battery. If the AC plug and flash symbol is displayed, please adjust the voltage to a lower level to extend power bank SP5011 working time. But some laptopsˇ¦ working voltage and charging voltage are the same. In this case, removing the internal battery from your laptop is the only way to avoid charging the internal battery.
The capacity of power bank SP5011 will decrease as the battery power and/or charge your device. The remaining capacity is shown on the LED indicators. Set the switch
to the ON (
) position. Press the voltage selector and view the remaining capacity by the LED indicators. The lights will turn off in sequence from right to left as the capacity decreases. The red EMPTY LED light will turn on when the power bank SP5011 battery capacity is low. You should recharge SP5011 immediately. All LED indicators will be turn off when power bank SP5011 is completely empty,
Indoor and outdoor:
You can connect your mobile phone, PDA, MP3 or MP4 to the power bank SP5011 USB output port.
Operation Steps:
Note:
1, For Nokia mobile phone that please using the adapter tip ˇ§Zˇ¨ plus the Nokia mobile connector then follow the step of ˇ§Using Power bank SP5011 for lager device via DC output portˇ¨ and setup the power bank SP5011 voltage output to 6V.
2, The USB port is on always, unless you turn it OFF by switch the voltage/USB
switch to OFF position.

If power bank SP5011 does not power the portable device battery, take these steps:
1. Verify that the current consumption of the portable device is not more than 3.5Amp. If the device consumes more than the maximum provided by power bank SP5011. Then the power bank SP5011 will shut down to prevent damage.
2. Verify that the device does not require more than 65 watts (19V/3.5A). If the device requires more power, then the power bank SP5011 will not be able to charge the device. View the remaining the battery capacity. If it is below 25%, recharge power bank SP5011.
3. Check that the output cord is connected to both power bank SP5011 and the portable device, and that the adapter tip fits snugly into the power jack of your portable device. If not try another adapter tip.
4. Check that the output voltage for your portable device matches or is just below the output voltage set on power bank SP5011. If the output voltage is not correct, unlock the voltage lock (if in the locked position), and change the voltage as required.
5. Verify that a battery is installed in the portable device, as some device will not function without a battery installed.
A battery has a finite life. It is slowly degrading all the time, even if it is not used. This is due to a chemical reaction that gradually causes the internal impedance of the cells to increase and in time, and reduces the ability of the battery to deliver its charge. All chemical reactions are affected by extreme heat/cold and excessive moisture. For these reasons, it is very important to keep you battery as cool, dry, clean as possible at all times.
Once you find battery canˇ¦t be fully charged any way, the battery will need to be replaced.
Here is a quick list of Do's and Don'ts for the care of your batteries to maximize performance.
Fully charge/discharge battery up to 4 cycles before achieving full capacity of a new battery
Remove from the device and stored in a cool, dry, clean place if the battery will not be in use for a month or longer
Recharge the battery after a storage period.
Must be recycled or properly disposed of used battery.
Never attempt to disassemble, reassemble.
Do not short-circuit. A short-circuit may cause severe damage to the battery
Do not drop, hit or otherwise abuse the battery as this may result in the exposure of the cell contents, which are corrosive.
Keep battery away from fire or other sources of extreme heat. Do not incinerate. Exposure of battery to extreme heat may result in an explosion. This battery provides 300 discharge/charge cycles.
